At each school we hear the same vision-- helping a child LEARN TO READ in their kindergarten through third grade years empowers them to READ TO LEARN for the rest of their lives. Otherwise, they fall behind and can't catch up. As a listening partner to educators, we have designed our Bookshelf in Every Home project that brings low income Kindergarten families to their child’s school to receive the child's very own Bookshelf together with free books.
This opportunity includes loading the bookshelves into vehicles at the Gateway Neighborhood Center at 477 Mathilda Ave. in Sunnyvale, transporting them to Castro School at 500 Toft Street, Mountain View.
Must have a truck, SUV or mini van that you can drive.
