The Food Sort Volunteer will prepare food for distribution by verifying, sorting, labeling, and repacking food items.

Volunteers under the age of 18 require a guardian's electronic consent at least 48 hours before the volunteer shift.
What should I expect?
- Please arrive on time. For safety and staffing reasons, doors close 10 minutes after the sort begins.
- Your health and safety is a top priority. Learn more about our health and safety requirements for more information.
- Mask use is still required indoors.
What should I wear or bring?
- Please bring and wear a face mask.
- Wear closed toed shoes. Long pants are highly recommended but not required. Sleeveless shirts and sandals are not permitted.
What else do I need to know?
- Adult guardians are required to actively volunteer with teens 14-15 years old.
- Electronic parental permission is required in advance for volunteers under 18.
Volunteers are an integral part of Second Harvest's ability to provide food to kids, families and seniors struggling with hunger in our community.
