At each school we hear the same vision-- helping a child LEARN TO READ in their kindergarten through third grade years empowers them to READ TO LEARN for the rest of their lives. Otherwise, they fall behind and can't catch up. As a listening partner to educators, we have designed our Bookshelf in Every Home project that brings low income Kindergarten families to their child’s school to decorate the child's very own Bookshelf together and receive free books.
This project will unload the bookshelves and books created by another Compassion Week project and prepare them for distribution at Castro School.
