Who We Are
Reach Potential Movement (RPM) is a community that recognizes that even in the high tech center of the Silicon Valley, where there is tremendous wealth and resource, there is still much need all around us. Many are surprised to learn that nearly 40% of children in Sunnyvale and Mountain View public schools qualify for free or reduced lunch and live below the poverty line. At RPM, we desire to bring together our community to help under-resourced kids reach their highest potential.
What We Do
We strive to achieve our mission & vision with three specific goals to dig deep and reach the next generation:
1. Expand our Leadership Development. Our Leadership Goals include:
- Identify leaders from within the Community
- Equip leaders with holistic support; mind, body & spirit
- Invest resources into "One-Two", RPM's service leadership program
- Bridge service leadership students to the greater Community
2. Continue our Learning & Life Skills Programs. This provides some of the foundational skills and experiences for kids and their families:
- Supporting education through Reading Readiness
- Inspiring college aspirations with Dream4College
- Stirring reading in the home by putting a Bookshelf in Every Home
- Skills exploration and other fun at one of our Summer Camps
3. Invest in Spiritual Development/ These programs add a holistic layer to our approach. We truly want to see every individual we serve thrive in their mind, body & spirit, such as:
- Teach the Bible to elementary & middle school students
- Lead workshops on character building attributes
- Financially sponsor curriculum and/or staff development in this area
